Music
reading can be included in the lessons, but this is up to the
individual. It really depends on your goals. I think a little
understanding of how rhythms are written and the basic language of
music help a lot. If you’re aiming to either teach or do
session work in the future then reading the dots will benefit you. You
may be happy to follow tablature (tabs) and chord charts to begin with
and take it from there.
